Buddhist, Muslim, Christian, or atheist. Marxist, Capitalist, Conservative, Progressive—no matter who you are, you have almost certainly practiced the imperial religion.

Every empire in history has established deep assumptions about how the world works and what it means to be truly human.

The one we live in is no different. And like every empire in history, these assumptions are carrying it down a path of self-destruction.

But, if we can name that religion and its assumptions, we can see that what we are facing is not all that new. We can rediscover our ancient connections and a true human inheritance—spiritual, intellectual, and liveable.

We can discover that there has always been another way,

and we are not alone in walking it.
